The Citation Ultra (Model CE-560-U) was announced after Cessna decided to make updates to the popular Citation V (Model 560). The main differences between the two aircraft include the engines, which are the latest JT15D-5D version, and the standard avionics suite, which was updated to the Honeywell Primus 1000 EFIS glass cockpit.
In 1994, the Citation Ultra was named Flying magazine's "Best Business Jet".
